PAUL MILLER (1907-1991) of Pawhuska is one of the few journalists to work his way to the top in two fields of journalism, wire service and the chain of metropolitan daily newspapers. After working on several Oklahoma newspapers, he joined the Associated Press in 1932 and rose to assistant general manager. In 1963 he was elected president of the Associated Press, a position which he held for several years. In 1947 he set out to conquer another field by joining the Gannett newspaper group. He rose to president and chief executive in 1957 and chairman of the board in 1970.
