OTIS W. SULLIVANT (1902-1974) was Oklahoma’s top political reporter and columnist for 40 years while covering the state capitol for the Daily Oklahoman and the Oklahoma City Times. The Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi cited him in 1963 for his “contribution to public understanding” of government. The state legislature cited his integrity and reporting skill in a joint resolution when he retired in 1967. He covered 15 national political conventions, and 10 campaigns for president, governor and the U. S. Senate.
