DR. HASKELL O. “WOODY” GADDIS (1935-2008) built the premier academic photography program in the state at the University of Central Oklahoma. The ultimate professional, he was always taking photos, always interested in keeping up-to-date in teaching and technology. He earned his journalism degree at Tulsa University in 1959, and worked as staff photographer at The Tulsa Daily World from 1955-1963, and from 1966-1969 before joining Central State as photographer and instructor. He built the photo program from scratch. As a dedicated teacher, he coached countless students to successful careers. He served on numerous community and college committees, speaking to many organizations.
