Ben Langdon

Posthumously Inducted: 2005

BEN LANGDON (1913-1999) published The Magnum Star for 33 years with his wife Betty. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was active in the Oklahoma Press Association and served as president from 1970-71. Langdon was director of the Oklahoma Industrial Development board and worked for three governors, including as senior staff member for Gov. George Nigh.

How to Submit a Nomination

Selection Process

Honorees are selected by a committee comprised of hall of fame members, including its director, and distinguished leaders in journalism. The Selection Committee considers all nominations, both new ones and those held over from previous years, before selecting the honorees.

The 2023 Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame nominee submission deadline is Monday, October 31, 2022.
